Carlie Powers is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Certified Sex Therapist (CST), and Certified Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CAADC) who has been in the mental health field since 2007. She has experience working with teens and adults in multiple levels of care in mental health and addictions treatment. Since becoming certified in sex therapy, she has been making this a larger focus of her work. She sees the importance of looking at different facets of a person’s identity, their relationships, and the impact of the larger social system as being a cornerstone to the therapeutic work.
Carlie has training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Eating Disorders, Motivational Interviewing, and Feedback Informed Treatment. She also integrates other family / couples therapy models including, Structural Family Therapy, Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy and Gottman interventions into her work.
