Laurie M. Manns is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) who has worked in the mental health field for the past 20 years. She earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Radford University. She has worked in both community-based and private sectors. Laurie is an experienced therapist with specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). In addition, she is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE). Prior to working at Discovery Counseling & Consulting, she served as a Clinical Supervisor in community mental health centers and has directed a variety of programs.
